1876 The poet Antanas Vienažindys has been appointed pastor of Laižuva. For Laižuviškės, he is not only a shepherd of souls, he is a bookbinder, editor, builder. The fruit of his works is in 1883. The Chapels of the Stations of the Cross were built, which, together with the fence of the former churchyard, were entered in the Register of Cultural Heritage Objects of the Republic of Lithuania.
The tomb of A.Vienažindis is decorated with a monument bought by his brother Vincent in Riga with the poet's lines carved in it.
