Paris, 1835. Twenty-five-year-old Frederic Chopin (Eryk Kulm) is a favorite of the Parisian salons, the aristocracy, and the French king. No significant event is complete without this genius. Chopin spends his time in nightly wanderings and after-concert parties: he radiates energy, and skillfully masks his fatal illness with humor. Although time is inexorably running out, Frederic does not slow down - he creates masterpieces (often on commission), and, pressured by financial obligations, gives piano lessons. Friends admire the composer, and women desire him.
