St. Isidore's Church in Renava

Around 1726, a chapel was built in Gaureliai. In 1763, the inventory of the Renavas Manor mentioned a temporary church, in 1773 - a chapel. Around 1780, a new cross-shaped chapel was built in another place, in 1808 - an octagonal chapel.

The construction of the current brick church began in 1918. After the walls were about 2.5 m high, the work was stopped in 1919. Construction continued in 1929. The external decoration planned in the project was abandoned, the remaining part of the walls was made of concrete. LTL 31,795.6 was spent on the construction of the church. On June 12, 1933, the new church was consecrated by Justinas Staugaitis, Bishop of Telšiai.
