The first church in Geidžiai was built by the Važinskis, but the exact date is unknown in historical sources. It is very likely that the foundation was laid in the 18th century. in the forties. In 1862. the landowner Važinskis built a new spacious wooden chapel, which belonged to the Tirkšliai parish. In the interwar years, there was a St. Anne's oratory here, where a priest from Tirkšliai sometimes held services.
