Kęstutis Vagneris is a lawyer, journalist, long-time prosecutor and military volunteer. After the start of the large-scale war in Ukraine, he went to the war zone with humanitarian aid more than 60 times, visiting soldiers fighting on the front line, hospitals, orphanages and civilians. His reports from the front are distinguished not only by the description of events. The author interviews not only soldiers, generals or politicians, but above all seeks the human story.
"The Diary of a War Volunteer" is a human testimony about a time when the most important value remains not the weapon, but the person, their strength, hope, and ability to survive even in the most difficult moments.
