Free public transport
We are also especially grateful for this opportunity in Mažeikiai district. council, but in addition to the sustainability, social mission, we would also like to emphasize the impact on tourism. More than once, we had to hear a pleasant surprise when we offered visiting tourists to use free public transport in Mazeikiai and the area. This was especially felt when the train route Panevėžys > Mažeikiai appeared, because people arrive without cars.
New bike path
Part of the respondents of the survey of the Field Office touched upon the question of the possibility of creating a bicycle path in Mažeikiai > Kurmaičiai (from Skuodo St.). We believe that such an infrastructure would contribute to better accessibility of the tourist object. Currently, the Iron Bridge in Kurmaičiai has somewhat complicated access by car or bicycle. The mentioned new bicycle path could create a circular bicycle route: Mazeikiai > ETG > Tulnikiai > Kušlėnai > Gelezinis tiltas > Kurmaičiai > Skuodo st. > Little ones.
From our side, we want to be happy that there are many people living in Mažeikiai who care about preserving and nurturing the environment.
