In 1989, the banks of Venta were connected by a hanging pedestrian bridge, which surprises not only the locals, but also the guests of the town. The residents of Viekėnai say that the first time you cross the suspension bridge, you have to make a wish and throw a pebble into the river Venta half way, then even your most secret wishes will come true.
